If you think your life sucks, it could be worse. Most of us are average vitims of modern problems, who come from a place where we can't really complain about anything.
I don't have time to do all my work, I find my studies too hard, I don't have enough money. All of these things are easier than we think. We're just not trying hard enough, we're lazy, we're expecting good things to come to us without putting any effor into it.
If you think I am wrong ask yourself, how many hours do you spend using your phone? We could definitely be spending that time to improve ourselves. We could be studying, exercising, making new connections and learning something valuable.
We take so many things in our lives for granted and we don't even realize how valuable things are until we loose them.
I will give you my story. I used to be so lazy that I used to cook around 2 meals every week and that too with so little effort such that the food would taste so bad that I would have to gulp it down my throat with water. I used to eat outside, unhealthy food despite having all the means necessary to make healthy food for myself. I decided to change it a while ago and started to eat healthy and cook food everyday. I recently fell of my Longboard and fractured my right elbow, leaving my right arm, my dominant arm, immobilized for a month.
Now I only have my left arm to cook myself healthy meals. Going back to my previous life of unhealthiness doesnt even makes sense to me so I am cooking myself meals with my left arm. Do you know what I wish? I just wish that I had my right arm working fine. I realize how important my arm is which is took for granted for so long.
We all have our priorities. I will list them in order. I wish I had a Ferrari. I wish I had all the money in the world. I wish I had a pretty girlfiend/boyfriend. I wish I could have a high paying job. I wish I had access to good education. I wish I have enough money to buy me groceries for next month. I wish I would survive the next day.
Life is so unpredictable that your priorties can change by an order of huge magnitude. From wishing to have a Ferrari to wishing to see the light of next day.
But in order to be happy you don't need anything extraordinary. You just need to lift yourself up, make sure that you're on journey of continuos improvement, make sure you're trying and giving your 100%, stay healthy. If you continue on this journey, it is just a matter of time and patience, you'll reach highest level of success, I guarantee it. All you gotta do is to survive long enough.
I know for some of us, even surviving is a great battle. So, we gotta remember one thing we can't use the bridge after we die. So if it's required by circumstances for you to burn your bridges. Never ever hesitate to do so. You can always rebuild a bridge, but you may not reincarnate after you die.
We all gotta die someday, our days are short and there is no point in wasting time by doing something safe. You gotta risk everything, you gotta keep everything on the line, you've got to have an heart to follow the path less travelled. All or nothing. If you follow the path just because majority is doing so, you'll either submerge yourself in mediocrity or failure. It doesn't matter if you fail. If you fail and injure yourself while trying to climb a ladder, you've higher level of respect in my eyes than all the ones that are uninjured but never tried to climb the ladder. Remember, you're better even though if you fail while trying.
Now one thing is as social creatures, we tend to value opinion of others way more than we should. What will xyz think of me? What would people think of me? What would people say if I am to fail?
It doesn't matter. Most people don't have enough time to care about whatever you're doing, and even if they are to think you're dumb, stupid, or a failure, their opinion doesn't matter. Most people feel will be happy to see you fail that's just my experience. It maybe different for others but it's the case for me. So, learn to tune out these voices out of your head.If someone loves and understands you, they'll not have bad opinion of your unless you actually do something despicable. Only care opinions of the ones who actually care for you.
And if someone laughs at you for failing. You can always laugh harder at them once you succeed. There you go, one more source of motivation to fuel up and propel yourself to the shore you want to reach.
Remember motivatioin can always run out so you gotta create an environment of minimal distraction. Stop using social media, watching reels, youtube, and everything, you'll thank me later. Delete those apps. You'll thank me after a year. Make sure to go deep and concentrate on something without dividing your attention to do something else. If you've heard of pomodoro technique, throw it out of the window, if you've never heard of it, good. Learn to go deep for hours, it will be hard at first but you'll get the hang of it once your creates enough myelin.
Remember soldiers, you gotta be valuable to be valued. Never ever complain. Go Hard or Go Home.
Lovely
